Rugby Fever
Carlsberg have a promotion running all through march just in time for the biggest sporting/social event of the year: the HK Rugby Sevens. For every two units of Carlsberg bought in participating outlets - The Hair of the Dog (2311 1248), Chinatown (2861 3588), Joe Bananas (2529 1811), Stag’s Head (2369 3142), The Aviator (2403 6816), King Ludwig Beerhall Stanley (28990122) and TST (2369 8328), Ned Kelley’s Last Stand (2376 0562), Marco Polo Gateway (2113 0888), Hard Rock Café (2375 1323) and Xperience (G/F Asia Orient Tower, 33 Lockhart Road, Wanchai, 2143 6008) who are running the promotion along with a special offer of $35 a bottle, and $178 for a bucket of six all throughout this month - you are given a scratch card giving you the chance to win prizes including a Carlsberg rugby shirt and a mini rugby ball. The added bonus of keeping the scratch cards? Use them at Mes Amis and Top Dogs concession stands during the Sevens tournament – when you buy 3 jugs of the beer, you get 1 jug for free.

Guinness are also having a promotion throughout the month, buy any two pints of the rich stuff, and receive one scratch card. You could win a free rugby shirt, or a black t-shirt. The list of participating outlets is the same as Carlsberg’s.
Look out for new wine cooler, Spy, a new completely natural drink. Available in three flavours – white made with white grapes, red made with red grapes and classic, which is a rose. Want to win a case? Head over to our competitions page.

Wander on down to Skitz (18 Fenwick Street, Wanchai, 2866 3277) on March 15 and 16 to enjoy some Broadway and West End tunes for the evening. Kassia Men’s Choir are going to show you that they’ve got all that jazz with their Blokes on Broadway performance. The show starts at 8pm and tickets are $200 including one standard drink, available from Katterwall (2575 3931) or through choir members. The Grand Lisboa, in Macau, is now open with six different restaurants including an Italian/ Mediterranean restaurant – Don Alfonso 1890 and their Chinese restaurant – The Eight. The Grand Lisboa Bar is open to either drown your sorrows after having lost at the tables or place more bets, on live sporting events through the Sporting Book.
