Sling it
Imagine ogling the box wherever you go in your home – without a TV in every room. In collaboration with the X-series phones, Slingbox Media Pro now allows you to stream your home TV to your mobile phone, anywhere, anytime, as long as you have a 3G connection. So you can catch the next episode of your favourite TVB drama or the latest football match while stuck in horrendous traffic after work, or even at work (if you dare!) Go to the local 3 mobile store for details or check out www.slingmedia.com.

Shock it
Already tired of the 2,000 songs in your iPod nano? It is time for some shocking new music. Literally. This MP3 player looks 100% like an MP3 player on the surface, but when you switch it on ready for some new hot tunes – “Ouch!” – you get a hot new electric shock! It might be just a fun toy, but maybe it’s also suitable for warming up your voice before karaoke… Get it from www.pickeasy.com!

Vibrate it
With Apple recently selling
its 100 millionth iPod, innovative accessories continue popping up left and right – and some have nothing to do with music. Nike recently released a plug-in that helps keep track of of your workout – well, isn’t that kinda boring? But we can’t say OhMiBod is out in doze land; this is the company that’s given us a music-powered vibrator! It’s an iPod ‘plug-in’ that vibrates to the rhythm and intensity of the music, so whether you like it slow and soft, or fast and hard – it’s a whole new way to plug-n-play. Accessories include an ipod garter belt and a hot pink softskin sleeve that’s ‘soft and velvety’ to the touch. Buy yours today, www.ohmibod.com.

Drink it
The message is in the bottle. So says the Arts Centre’s Absolut Creativity, an exhibition following the story behind Absolut Vodka and its classic receptacles. Local artist Stella So is also part of glorifying the Absolut solution with a new work she’s called Absolut Neighbourhood. This must be the art of commerce – and a potentially drunken one at that. Only looking, no drinking! The exhibition is open until April 22 with free admission (5/F, The Pao Gallery, Hong Kong Arts Centre).

Text it
Text messaging is universally popular, but locally it’s so popular some people are forgetting they have a voice. Which is why Microsoft is adding a keyboard controller to the popular Xbox 360 to make texting in the Xbox Live community easier. The controller will be released in May together with Windows Live Messenger for the Xbox, allowing people to communicate whether they’re on the PC, mobile phone, or gaming on Xbox Live.

Wrap it
How many times have you said, “Over my dead body!”? Now you can yell it with some meaning as you flick your crime scene towel with its outline of the cadaver we all know so well from CSI, gangster movies and the news. It is made of cotton, is 31”x62”, and costs US$15. Watch the reaction when someone takes your spot on the beach and you wordlessly point a finger at the evidence of murder!
