Hong Kong On Air
Native New Yorker Muhammad Cohen moved to Asia’s World City in 1995 and became a permanent resident in 2004. His new novel, Hong Kong on Air, captures the mood ahead of the 1997 Handover and also broadcasts the backstage secrets of television with its tale of a young American couple, the female half of whom works as a newspaper reporter turned TV producer. We have five copies of this engaging read to give knowledgeable folk who can answer this question: which TV station did Muhammad Cohen start up in Hong Kong?

Musical Moments
Two celebrations of the timeless music of Broadway and the West End will be held at the HK Cultural Centre on October 22 and 23. The Musical Moments concerts are also charity events to raise funds for bringing or restoring sight to the poor and blind in remote parts of China. And as we ourselves are in a charitable mood, we’re going to give away six tickets to the October 23 show to some lucky readers who tell us the name of this extravaganza’s musical director.
