Nundie It
Nundies, for all of you who continuously yearn for a more convenient and streamlined lifestyle, are a fast and efficient approach that can be adopted when it comes to your underwear.
The flowery shapes are actually sticky pads, intended to be pressed to the inside crotch of your trouser. That’s right, here is $117 (per pack) worth of going commando. Go to www.nundies.com for more.

Recycle It
Is the spectre of the Al Gore of Christmas Future still haunting you? If so, cure the guilt by treating yourself to one of these eco–friendly handbags. These bags are created by re-using vinyl advertising banners, meaning that each bag is unique! Simple and sustainable; they are available from Delay No Mall, 68 Yee Wo Street in Causeway Bay, 2577 6988, retailing between $280-$780. Find out more at www.ecocouture.hk

Stick It
Japanese (probably) warm pad inventions come out every year and damn, aren’t they helpful. Here is a variation that we found in Jusco’s $10 stores. Remove the bandage-like covering and stick it to your stomach, your inner leg, your back, or any other appendage that needs a jolt and let the device do its work. The instructions on the packet are in Japanese, so we think it says: Let the pad heat up for 15 minutes, then it will stay warm for 12 hours. The cool thing about these pads is that the heat doesn’t radiate out of every side but, instead, focuses itself all through the sticky side - that is, the side touching whichever body part that you want warmed up!

See It
There have been 33 of them, they have names like Venus–Morning Star, Evening Star, Twinkling and Silver Star and they have been serving us since the 19th century. It’s the Star Ferry, and the Star Ferry Co Ltd is celebrating its 110th anniversary this year. To celebrate this achievement, the HK Maritime Museum presents Star Struck – an exhibition being held at the Central Star Ferry Pier until January 18. Showtimes are daily 8am–8pm. Go and check out the memorabilia of this part of our cultural heritage.

Wear It
With the evenings getting cooler, don’t let your pet pooch get cold tootsies! Whether you adorn your Chihuahua in the latest Burberry parkers or give your li’l labradoodle cozy leg warmers, there’s no need for them to step out that door without being completely wrapped up forthese chilly winter months. To avoid being stopped by the fashion police, check out the strip of doggy boutiques at Sai Kung Peninsula. Or if you find yourself near any of these locations, check out their ranges:

Noble Pet Shop: Shop 1, 3 Town Center,
Crescent HK Yuen, Tai Po, New Territories.

Nana Café and Pet Boutique: 2/F, 2 Sun Wui Rd,Causeway Bay.

Alternatively, if you prefer to shop online, head over to www.dogonelife.com.
