The Find: The Edison
Final price: $5
Where found: Hoi Kee Stationery

Why this bright plastic hammer? And why is this useful gadget to be found in a cardboard box amongst a collection of plastic hand-clappers and lubricants? The second question does not have an answer. As to the first if you shake it, it sounds like a round of applause suitable for satisfying vain celebrities as to their prowess. The hammer-like top also has noise-making capabilities. perfect to remind – as you bash the head on any relatively flat surface, like your palm - said vain celebrities as what you’ll being doing to their personals if they leave less than flattering pictures of you on their computer when they send it in for repair. But why anyone would be so stupid as to do that is incomprehensible to us. Still, something about it did catch the eye. And we couldn’t resist plonking down $5 smackers for it... just in case.

As the end of the Tseung Kwan O line, Po Lam station is unique, but that doesn’t make it exciting. Unlike most MTR stations, the concourse and gates are on the same level as the single platform from which trains both arrive and depart – fascinating if you’re interested in a comparative study of train stations. The main attractions outside the station are the shopping centres, the Metro City Plazas – all three of them. As you exit the station in search of the main attractions in the area, you will find that each of the three gates either mentions or is somehow related to one of the Metro City Plazas. Visit Po Lam if you have the time and inclination to ferret out what makes Metro City Plaza so great that a single town needs three versions of it. Then, if you succeed in getting to the bottom of this puzzle, perhaps you should consider sharing the discovery with the rest of us.

1.Bipin, Bar staff
Gillian. The photos ruin her career.

2.Matis, Unemployed
Gillian, because most of her fans are teenagers and used to look upon her as a pure young girl.

3.Sherrie, Financial planner
Neither of them. It’s not their fault, they are just too young – this shouldn’t be anyone else’s business.
