The Find:Olympic Band-Aid
Final price: $25.90
Where found:ParknShop, Admiralty Centre
It’s finally August, the month of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The five Fuwa are boosting the Olympic spirit with appearances on every street corner, in parks, on the roadside, and now even on something as tiny as a Band-Aid! This tin contains 30 pieces of the sticky plaster in three sizes, each with a unique design. And, of course, the Olympic mascots appear on every piece in various sporty poses. If you are not the type to wave flags and make loud patriotic noises, you could stick one of these on a prominent bodily place as a subtler message of your Olympian esprit de corps – even if you don’t have a scratch anywhere. Or be more adventurous still and use all 30 pieces in a kind of Olympic Band-Aid body art!
