Happy-Go-Lucky

Happy-Go-Lucky is a contemporary comedy by Mike Leigh (Vera Drake, Secrets and Lies) set in London and centring on the ultra-optimistic 30-year-old primary school teacher Poppy, her repressed driving instructor and her love affair with a social worker overseeing one of her students. The film brought actress Sally Hawkins the Silver Bear for best actress this year and we now have 10 pairs of tickets to give away. To get your lucky pair, tell us any one of the other collaborations between Leigh and Hawkins.

The Luckiest Man

Many will remember Lam Tze Chung – Fat Chung – for his hilarious performance in Shaolin Soccer but in The Luckiest Man he stands behind the camera instead of before it. This is the second film directed by Lam and it stars Nat Chan, Bosco Wong, and Monica Chan. It centres on Fat, a witty businessperson, who owns over 60 mahjong parlours in Hong Kong. Reaching the final stage of his life, Fat has to choose an heir for his businesses, which involves his three sons, Kei, Kin and Fai in an exciting mahjong battle. We have 10 pairs of tickets to this movie to give away. To win a pair, simply tell us the number of players required in a mahjong game.

The Raghu Dixit Project

Based in Bangalore, self-taught Indian singer-songwriter Raghupathy Dixit and his band The Raghu Dixit Project have recently launched an eponymous debut album. Well known for blending ethnic folk, Sufi and classical phrases with his trademark vocal style, Dixit has created a fusion of Western, Indian and Arabic music in his album. But you can enjoy the vibe live when the band visits Hong Kong for RTHK’s Music Beyond Borders: The Raghu Dixit Project on September 18 at 8pm at Studio One (Radio Television Hong Kong, 30 Broadcast Drive). We have a pair of tickets to give away to the person who can tell us what instrument Dixit plays
