Les Artistes Café (1/F, Man Hoi Building, 98 Electric Road, Tin Hau, 3426 8918) has a new subway with ox tongue. Fused with cheese, fresh veggies, tomatoes and French mustard, the ox tongue sits in between the two onion buns. If you have seen too much of hot-dogs and burgers, this offers a nice change.
Another new idea in crossover food is the tempura green tea ice cream with red bean sauce. It comes with the new lunch weekend menu at Tokoro – Robatayaki & Bar (Level 3, Langham Place, 555 Shanghai Street, Mongkok, 3552 3330). Other attractive items include a fabulous selection of robatayaki cuisine with fugu minn boshi, grilled eel and beef skewers, along with other authentic Japanese dishes of sashimi, tempura, maki rolls and dessert.
Sweet Soup Delivery
Honeymoon Dessert (Shop 320, 3/F, Hopewell Center, 2520 5071) has opened a new branch in the middle of the busy town centre of Wan Chai. With its main shop in Saikung, Honeymoon Dessert is famous for its Chinese sweet soup and desserts. The restaurant started as a single shop in Saikung, but now boasts over 50 across Hong Kong, China and Indonesia. Order walnut, red bean, sesame sweet soups, or pancakes, or sweet dumplings for more than $150, and the restaurant will deliver for free. Yin Lok Kui Dessert Home (G/F, Triumph Court 21, 39 Electric Road, Tin Hau, 2512 9378) also delivers sweet soup to your door – and on better terms. There is no lowest spend limit for delivery, as long as your order is within the district - n egotiate with the boss, he is very friendly. Chung Kee Dessert (21 Woosung Street, Jordan, Kowloon, 2736 7892) will only deliver if you order desserts in bulk. If your location is too remote, they charge taxi fees. But as long as you share costs with a group of friends, that won’t set you back too much as Chung Kee’s dessert is well known for its low price.
Cheese is loved by many, and among lots of cheese lovers, mozzarella is the most loved. Classified Mozzarella Bar’s main focus is artisan mozzarella. Opening from 11am, it offers a specially curated all-day menu (for dine-in and take-away), complemented by a selection of over 450 wines from around the world. The menu offers both simple dishes such as bacon wrapped deep fried mozzarella and more extravagant items like Osceitra caviar. The bar is open till midnight at 31 Wing Fun St, Wan Chai, for lovers of wine and cheese.
Mezzo Grill at the Regal Kowloon Hotel (71 Mody Road,Tsim S ha Tsui, 2313 8778) will be offering a ‘Cowboy Dinner Party’ until October 19. It is a buffet ($358 for adults and $268 for kids) with all the cowboy goodies, especially with the U.S. prime rib eye, game hen, Australian lamb chop, all served in the Americancowboy style. The theme dinner also has a ‘Cowboy Whipping Performance’ and ‘Beer Drinking Competition’ to enhance the fun from Friday to Sunday. Buffet runs from mixed salad to unlimited grill of various meats and lobsters, side dish with sautéed spinach, onion rings, baked tomatoes, mashed potatoes and fries. The cowboy ‘dip’ includes various kinds of gravy, black pepper sauce and lime butter sauce.

They also have premium steaks from Free Range and Hormone-free Prime Rib Eye to Dry Aged Prime Sirloin. All is laid on its three-course menu ($680 +10% service charge).

The newly opened Fruitfella is now delivering fruit salads to the office. The idea is to have the members subscribing to an online calendar, where customers can schedule their delivery.
