Wushu Championships
Although to watch the Chinese version of martial arts called Wushu is to see an extremely physical combination of balance, speed and power, the sport also demands a strong spiritual commitment. Both physical and spiritual disciplines will be on show when more than 400 individual participants and 90 teams participate in this year’s Wushu championships organized by the Hong Kong Wushu Union on May 17. Rising stars of this exacting sport can choose to enter in any of more than 700 categories, with age groups range from 6 to 18. An entry into each individual category costs $50 and each group category $80.
