Sim It
Playing God takes in the Sims 3, fancy a Frankenstein? Hanker after a Hannibal? No! Then how about designing an Edgar Degas or Claude Monet? Perhaps you would prefer someone more ordinary – a Susan Boyle without The Voice. Whatever tickles your imagination, you can bring it into being and then decide if your creation becomes famous, fabulous or just merely frivolous. The Sims 3 update, with its new tools ‘Create a Sim’ and ‘Create a Style’, is available as a download from www.thesims3.com or in shops.

Direct It
I thought the dragon with the drink was pretty cute but the Tiny Art Director said. ‘It’s dumb Daddy. You should erase it. Grow up Daddy.’ As you can tell, the Tiny Art Director is blunt and bordering on nasty – she also happens to be the four-year-old daughter of illustrator Bill Zeman. His blog, http://tinyartdirector.blogspot.com/, is not only full of vivid illustrations but, thanks to his art director’s comments, a joy to read. Zeman is planning to bring out a book of his drawings and the mostly supercilious comments of she-who-must-be-obeyed but it will only be on bookshelves a year from now – until then check out his blog and who knows, you might even want to invest? We know you’ll have a laugh.

Wear It
Brightly coloured toilet paper and haute couture hats? These are not two things you would normally mention in the same breath. However, Carla Augusto is not put off by such niceties and you’ll find them in tandem on the luxe distributor’s website. You would have seen one of their Mademoiselle Slassi hats if you caught the Miss Japan Universe pageant and if you just must have your own and find a spare $850 lying around, drop by the web site www.carlaaugusto.com, where you can also order designer toilet paper –even to match the hat – at $60 for six rolls.

Face It
We’ve all done it, even if you won’t admit it, wiped our face with the same part of the towel that wiped our butt and too late noticed the ... – not pleasant! Butt help is infront of your face, a towel with two distinct halves: one for the face and one for your tail end - especially useful after a late night! And if you really want to play it safe, the Butt Face soap bar is coloured white on one side for your face, and brown for your ass. Find them at www.amazon.com

Pay It
Pay up and face Kill Bill Cat: It seems an odd way to make sure you pay your phone bill but it is the latest ploy by PPS to promote their services. Every month from June till September the company will be distributing 300 Kill Bill Cats to lucky customers who register new accounts after June 1 and who pay their bills in full on time. The cats are obviously not the real thing but exclusive limited edition figurines designed by Hong Kong creative designer Danny Chan. Customers can register up to four bills with PPS for the promotion and every month another version of the angry but, um, “cute” cat will become available to win. You can find more information about the promotion and the registry form on the PPS website: www.ppshk.com/hkt/revamp2/luckyDraw/Eng/disclaimer_e.html
