SUMMARY:28th Macao Fireworks Display Competition
DESCRIPTION:Now in it’s 28th year the Macau International Fireworks Display Contest takes place at the sea area across from the Macau Tower on the 3rd\, 10th\, 15th and 24th September and 1st October. Ten teams will compete in the year’s event and look to dazzle the Macau skyline with spectacular displays tied to a series of themes: Pyro Fantasia\, Tribute to Bond\, Mid-Autumn Harmony\, Stars from Afar and Celebration in the Sky. \nOrganised by Macao Government Tourism Office\, which again requested teams to choreograph their fireworks displays with music and laser projections\, the contest pits globally-acclaimed pyrotechnic companies against each other. This year’s strong line-up of competitors features ten teams from (in order of appearance in the contest): Thailand\, Portugal\, United Kingdom\, Switzerland\, Japan\, Korea\, Italy\, Canada\, Romania and China. DESCRIPTION:Nelson Mandela has been central to every stage of South Africa’s epic struggle against apartheid – from formulating a new approach in the 1940s to leading the mass struggles of the 1950s\, from the formation of Umkhonto weSizwe in the early 1960s to imprisonment for 27 years. He initiated and led negotiations in the 1990s\, and served as the first President of a democratic South Africa\, building a new nation from the fragments of conflict. \n \nMandela’s life is explored through six themes – character\, comrade\, leader\, prisoner\, negotiator and statesman.
