Vegan Pizza Launch @ Pizza Express Sai Ying Pun – 17 May, 2018

Pizza Express hosted a block party at it’s new Sai Ying Pun restaurant on the 17 May to announce the launch of a vegan pizza and a ‘dine and donate’ program which rewards those who donate dried food goods or unwanted clothes – to help those in need – with discount dining coupons.

New Makati 29th Anniversary – 17 May, 2018

New Zealand Food and Wine Connection @ Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel – 16 May, 2017

The second New Zealand Food and Wine Connections promotion organised by New Zealand Trade & Enterprise saw a range of new Kiwi products showcased at the Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel on the 16 May. Among the tasty and predominantly organic products on show were meat, seafood, wines, beer, fruit juices, herbs and tea.

Some are already available locally and you’ll find them in supermarkets and used by restaurants. Others to look out for soon are Zealong teas and Kare honey.

The Script @ Kitec – 24 April, 2018

Irish rock band The Script – vocalist and keyboardist Danny O’Donoghue, guitarist Mark Sheehan, and drummer Glen Power – returned to Hong Kong after a seven year absence and entertained a packed Star Hall with 16 song show that featured most of their hits. The support act was Andrea Hosking daughter of the concert’s promotor Midas’ Michael Hosking.

HK Womens Sevens @ So Kon Po – 5 April, 2018

A packed crowd at So Kon Po enjoyed a sun-drenched day of exciting rugby at the 2018 HK Women’s Rugby Sevens. Apart from a superb solo try by Natasha Olson Thorne, in a hard fought 17-12 victory against Kazakhstan, there was little local cheer as two heavy defeats against Brazil (38-0) and China (19-7) meant the hosts again failed to reach day two and a first experience of the HK Stadium atmosphere.
