Music Rocks the Valley to Hit High Notes for Three Consecutive Wednesday Nights

The Beer Garden at Happy Valley Racecourse is well regarded as Hong Kong Island’s most happening midweek hotspot for international entertainment. For the next three Wednesdays in a row, fans can enjoy Music Rocks the Valley parties on the racenights of 8, 15 and 22 January.

This year’s Music Rocks the Valley parties will welcome world-renowned DJ Ricky Stone, who will be playing the latest sounds on all three Happy Wednesday nights. DJ BZ Li will join Ricky and hit the stage on 22 January.

Adding to the party vibe will be live performances from up-and-coming Welsh singer-songwriter Ben Semmens and his band, plus a team of famous dancers strutting their stuff to the music.

Shaolin Fez, led by Jennifer Palor and Samuel Ferrer, will bring to Central a full 12-piece jazz/rock ensemble to present the highlights of their epic August show for a evening of pulsating live music to help raise money and awareness for aid relief to the Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan.

Ginger Kwan and Sybil Thomas will make special guest appearances

The band, in co-operation with Backstage Live, will donate their fee so that at least half the ticket price will go to Haiyan relief. Backstage Live will donate part of their bar takings as well. There will charities there with collection boxes.

Shaolin Fez will also donate the profits from their CD sales on that night.
