It was smiling faces and juicy burgers all around as Shake ’em Buns celebrated it’s 10th Anniversary with a block party on the 15 June that saw hundreds of people enjoying $20 burgers, free fried chicken and craft beer. A big hand to the Shake ’em Buns staff for making so many burgers in such a short time!

Wanchai Wine Walk – 11 June, 2016

Great Texas Laua @ Lantau – 8 June, 2016

The first Great Texas Laua at Shek Pik Red Cross camp site was organised and hosted by the US Meat Export Federation and Texas Beef to showcase the quality of American beef, pork and chicken and how delicious they taste when smoked and BBQ’d Texas style. World Champion BBQ expert and chef Tim Broderick was in-charge of the pits and created a delicious meal – a big thank you to him and his team and everyone involved for a great night.

Lots of fun, fine rum and good food (courtesy of Pololi) at the 4th HK Rum Fest. The first day highlights were an entertaining presentation by Georgi Radev (Mahiki London) on Tiki Culture and a wonderful demonstration about flair and the art of bartending by Nicolas Saint Jean (Flair Motion). The second and final day starts at noon at the Mahalo Tiki Lounge, full details of the days schedule here.

WARNING: Mahalo bar staff have a nasty habit of taking your unfinished drink while your chatting with friends, dancing or grabbing a smoke. And then giving you that blank I don’t know what you’re talking about look before asking you to buy another.

24th Great Chefs of HK – Heep Hong Charity Dinner – 12 May, 2016

The chefs and kitchen teams of 50 restaurants and hotels joined together at the Grand Hyatt Hotel for the 24th time under the banner of the Great Chefs of Hong Kong to raise money for the Heep Hong Society, an organisation dedicated to improving the lives of Hong Kong’s children.
