There will be Premiership, Championship and Women’s Divisions, and the draw for the Premiership 7s section at HK Scottish Day has thrown up some mouth-watering clashes to start the season with hosts HK Scottish drawn in a tough group against last year’s league champions Kowloon and runners up HKFC in the Tartan Group, The Presidents VII round off the group.

Hong Kong 7s 2013 – Saturday

Hong Kong 7s 2013 – Saturday
A day of legends and abject failure. Amidst a great day of rugby, with upsets a plenty the performance of England had many in the crowd hiding behind their beer mugs as they drowned their disappointment. In a not too well kept secret The Beach Boys performed a 30 minute set at lunchtime which had the stadium singing along to classic hits.

Saturday’s true legend bestrode the HK Stadium pitch later in the day as Waisale Serevi, a spring in his stride, was inducted into the Rugby Hall of Fame.

Hong Kong Tens @ HK Football Club – 20-21 March 2013
At the seventh attempt the Penguins finally won the Hong Kong Tens in dramatic fashion as a pulsating final against Samurai was decided in the last minute when Australian winger Richard Hooper outsprinted the Samurai defence to touch down a last-minute grubber kick from England Sevens scrumhalf James Lightfoot-Brown, who had sprinted over 50 metres along the right touchline after making a break from a scrum near his own 22. www.hongkongtens.com
