The International Bakery Expo takes place from the 1-3 December at the HK Convention and Exhibition Centre. It’s not massively big, but there are some interesting companies exhibiting and promoting the art of baking.

A very important art and one that should not be lost to the bland chain bakeries and their massed production lines. Support your local bakery!
Beyond bakery products and cakes there’s walnut moxibustion.

GLM Brand Launch, Japan Electric Car @ Upper House – 25 November, 2016

Japanese electric car manufacturer GLM (Green Lord Motors) held it’s Hong Kong brand launch at Upper House on the 25 November 2016. At the event GLM showcased it’s 4 door electric concept car the GLM-G4 which debuted at the Paris Motor Show earlier this year and the GLM-ZZ which is available now in Japan.

The Great American Texas BBQ entered it’s third decade at Disneyland with a cornucopia of beautifully BBQ’d beef under the auspices of pit-master Timothy Broderick and other beef dishes. Sponsored by the Texas Beef Council, USMEF and USDA the evening promotes and showcases US beef and American products.

The rye-based Kyrö Napue Gin from Isokyrö, Finland celebrated it’s local launch with a party and tasting session at Momotaro. Founder Miika Lipiäinen was in town to showcase the distillery’s award winning Napue Gin and Tonic and talk more about the gin’s rye source and natural botanicals.
