Tasteful Europe Reception @ Renaissance Hotel – 15 August, 2019

The Tasteful Europe Reception at the Renaissance Hotel on the 15 August, 2019 featured European cuisine based on Polish products served by Polish Chefs in Hong Kong.

At the reception, a new three-year Tasteful Europe promotional campaign was announced to highlight the range of quality food products available in Europe and especially Poland.

New Makati 30th Anniversary – 17 May, 2019

New Makati hosted a party for regulars and friends on the 17 May, 2019 to celebrate its Thirtieth Anniversary. And a great time was had by one and all!

While it may not strictly be the bar’s 30th birthday (a previous owner didn’t life 4s, so the 4th, 14th and 24th anniversaries were skipped) New Makati / Makati is one of the oldest bars in Wanchai and if walls had ears the tales it might tell…

Grammy award winging artist Jason Mraz brought his Good Vibes Tour to Hong Kong for two sold-out nights at the HK Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wanchai.

Now in its fifth year India by the Bay brings the best of India to Hong Kong. The diverse and eclectic festival program features music, dance, film, theatre, yoga, literature, art and of course food for audiences to savour.

Dragjam2 – Just because it’s Love @ Bulle d’Art – 16 February, 2019

An alternate celebration of love DragJam2 – Just because it’s Love looked to remind a packed audience that love is supposed to make you happy.

Showcasing the talents or not of Stephaine Slackhouse, Muschi, Pan Sze, Lucy Lucy, Circle K, Llama del Rey, Angilicious and organiser Gabor Zsoka there was stand-up comedy, dance, dating games and of course a big black dildo for a lucky raffle winner.

A fun relaxed night. Gabor hopes to run different themed Dragjams every couple of months to raise awareness of drag, offer a platform for those who want to explore drag and amid the fun to inject a bit of seriousness about social issues.

Churchill’s & Queen Victoria Anniversary – 30 January, 2019

Wanchai pub’s Churchill’s and The Queen Victoria held a joint anniversary party on the 30 January as the Queen Vic, as she’s affectionally known, turned 8 and Churchill’s celebrated a third year.

A large crowd of regulars partied the night away as the bars celebrated their anniversaries and the upcoming Year of the Pig in traditional style with a dragon dance.
