123 Tian Di Hui Live @ Rock Angel Band House

Rock Angel Band House begins it’s Second Anniversary celebrations with a debut CD release concert by Singaporean band Tian Di Hui. The band wooed fans at the Rock Angel Power Band Festival in 2015 and impressed Rock Angel founder Angel Leung enough to sign the band to headline a new series of concerts “Loving Hearts, Loving Songs” starting on the 23 January to run throughout 2016.

Tian Di Hui 天地會 (Heaven & Earth) are a Chinese progressive rock/metal band from Singapore whose first incarnation heavily influenced by Western bands like Megadeth, Metallica, Dream Theater, Rush… arrived in the summer 1992. The Band re-organised and changed direction in 1996 after deciding that rock and metal can be played just as hard in Chinese. The current line-up featuring Paul Loong (Vocal), Kyle Tan (Bass), Tony Chia (Guitar), YJ Wang (Guitar), Willi Tay (Drums) have performed together since then with Yong How (Keyboards) joining in 2015.

Over the last decade Tian Di Hui have performed across Asia including at Spring Scream Music Festival (Taiwan), A Fest (Malaysia), Dagehui Music Festival (Malaysia) and 2nd Rock Angel Music Festival (Hong Kong). Highlights of Tian Di Hui’s performance in Hong Kong can be seen on ALCTV youtube channel (www.youtube.com/user/alctvhk).

The band’s debut release was the single Still Alive in 2012. Their first album 摇滚不需要理由 Don’t Need No Reason to Rock is out now and features 11 original tracks. There’ll be an autograph session after the concert which will feature songs from the album and a couple of the covers of the band’s favourite songs.

Asked about the album Tony said “The themes are basically to share with everyone that although we do not have much of a Chinese band scene in Singapore compared to Hong Kong, we wrote our songs to tell people to be persistent in pursuing your music interest. That’s also a reason why we only released debut album after so many years, be persistent to see hope, not by seeing hope then start working hard.”

There will be a birthday celebration after-show party, including buffet, refreshments, wine and drinks.

Those who have birthday in January will be the guest of Rock Angel Band House with free admission.
